About

I am a clinical academic working at the intersection of anaesthesia, multiomics, and data science.

Currently, I am:

  • PhD Fellow on the GW4-CAT PhD for Health Professionals Programme, studying the use of multiomics in predicting and understanding immune-mediated complications of anaesthesia and surgery.
  • Anaesthetist in the Severn Deanery, NHS.

Research Focus

My work aims to bridge the gap between molecular profiling and bedside clinical decision-making. I focus on:

  • Biobank-Scale Multiomics: Utilizing datasets like the UK Biobank to analyse the multiomic architecture of postoperative complications.
  • Clinical Prediction Models: Building and validating machine learning pipelines to identify high-risk patients.
  • Causal Inference: Applying causal machine learning frameworks to clinical data to discover actionable targets for improving surgical outcomes.
